Collision Analysis
Chapters 2 through 17 each include an account of two collisions taken from actual police records. Based on student knowledge of the chapter content, your class can analyze how the collision occurred.

Self-Test
Every chapter, with the exception of Chapter 1, includes a test with five components (Multiple Choice, Sentence Completion, Matching, Short Answer, and Critical Thinking).

Chapter Openers
Each chapter opener includes a photograph for discussion that captures the theme of the chapter, a brief introduction to the chapter content, a list of Chapter Objectives tied to each section within the chapter, and a list of Key Terms in the order in which they appear in the chapter.
Special Features
• Celebrity Scenarios are presented in orange-shaded boxes throughout the text. The celebrity boxes convey the details of a collision or driving-related incident involving a famous artist, athlete, or musician.
• Fun Items are presented in green-shaded boxes and marginal text. They include Auto Slang, Bumper Sticker Sightings, Guess the Vanity Plate, Crazy Auto Laws, and Wild Wheels. These engaging elements keep students’ attention.
